Wikan - Kahr marriage - 1949

Miss Marlene Ann Kahr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Kahr of near Elkader, became the bride of Robert Paul Wikan, Elkader, son of Mrs. Amanda Wikan, Decorah, Friday Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at the St. John's Lutheran church at Luana. The Rev. Paul Adix performed the double ring ceremony. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Tilmen Hill of Decorah. Mrs. Hill, sister of the bridegroom, was Matron of honor.

Following the ceremony a wedding supper for 30 guests was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tilmen Hill at Decorah.
