Miss Yvonne Palas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luver Palas of St. Olaf, became the bride of Clement Baker, son of Mrs. Robert Troester of Guttenberg, on Friday, Nov. 4. The Rev. Paul Kitterer read the double ring ceremony at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader.
Miss Gwen Bredfield of Guttenberg, a friend of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Elvera Marmann and Miss Hulda Bissell. John Palas, brother of the bride, served as best man. Delos Weseman and Lee Klinkenberg were ushers.
A reception was held in the church parlors immediately after the ceremony. A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Prom in Garnavillo.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and the bridegroom a graduate of the Guttenberg high school. He served three years with the armed forces.
They will make their home in Guttenberg, where Mr. Baker is employed at the Chevrolet garage.
