Miss Delores Dougherty became the bride of Bill Bergstrom Thursday evening, August 25. The ceremony was solemnized at the parsonage of St. Joseph's Catholic church at 8 o'clock. The Very Rev. B. H. Skahill performed the double ring service.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. V. Dougherty, Elkader, and the bridegroom the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bergstrom of Waterloo. They were attended by Mrs. Gerald Fassbinder, sister of the bride, and Robert Seybert, friend of the couple.
Mrs. Bergstrom is a graduate of St. Joseph high school, following which she was employed as secretary to Attorney Chas. Neylan. She is now employed at the Ben Franklin store in Elkader. Her husband is a graduate of the Cedar Falls high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college. He is now employed with the Northwestern Bell telephone company at Elkader.
Mr. and Mrs. Bergstrom are living at Volga City.
