Stiles, Smith marriage - 1949

The marriage of Miss Geraldine Smith, daughter of Mrs. Erma Smith, Volga, and the late Elmo Smith, and Boyd Stiles, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Stiles of Rudd, took place Monday, August 8, at the Methodist parsonage. The single ring ceremony was read at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Leslie Faris, pastor.

Mrs. G. Willard, friend of the bride, and Kenneth E. Smith, brother of the bride, were the attendants.

The bride graduated from the Volga high school, Attended I.S.T.C. at Cedar Falls, also Upper Iowa university at Fayette. The past two years she taught in the Rudd consolidated school. Mr. Stiles is engaged in farming with his father.

After a short wedding trip to Wisconsin the couple will reside at Rudd, where Mrs. Stiles has been re-elected to teach.
