Strawberry Point: At eight o'clock Sunday evening at the Emanuel Lutheran church, the Rev. S. J. Meyer performed the double ring ceremony which united in marriage Miss Dorothy Bennett and Merwyn H. Knake. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Bennett of Elkader and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knake of Strawberry Point.
Miss Jeanette Bennett of Elkader, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The best man was Harold Meyer, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Arnold Kray, Henry Burrack and Kenneth Bennett were ushers.
The couple left on a wedding trip to the west coast. Following their wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Knake will reside in Strawberry Point, where Mr. Knake is employed by the school and Mrs. Knake will continue to work in the law office of Elton L. Gross.
