A double wedding ceremony took place at Sacred Heart church in Littleport Tuesday morning, June 14, at 10 o'clock when Miss Una Lenhart became the bride of Januarius Zapf and Miss Ruth Homewood the bride of Bernard Zapf. The Rev. Loras Holmberg performed the ceremony.
Miss Lenhart is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lenhart, Littleport, and Miss Homewood the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Homewood, Strawberry Point. The bridegrooms are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Zapf, Mederville. Ushers were Lowell Zapf, a cousin of the bridegrooms, and Jack Leonard, a friend of the couples.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Januarius Zapf are graduates of the Littleport high school. The new home will be made in Littleport.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Zapf are also graduates of the Littleport school. For the past two years Mrs. Zapf has been employed in the office of the county engineer. Her husband owns and operates the Yacht Club at Mederville.
