St. Olaf: The marriage of Miss Mary Ann Larson and Edmund Lee Glesne took place Sunday afternoon at the Norway Lutheran church at St. Olaf. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin J. Larson of St. Olaf, and Mr. Glesne's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar T. Glesne, also of St. Olaf. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. Darrell Hedemann of McGregor attended Miss Larson as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were: Miss Beverly Berg of Kenyon, Minn., Miss Ardis Smedstad of Storbuck, Minn., Miss Shirley Wall of Mountain Lake, Minn., and Miss Jeane Matt of McGregor. John Glesne of St. Olaf served his brother as best man. Ushers were: Roger Larson, brother of the bride, and Donald Houg of St. Olaf, Robert Glass of Edgewood, and Martin Dittmer of Elkport.
Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Larson were hosts at a reception for 300 guests at the St. Olaf Chapel parlors.
Mrs. Theodore de Buhr of Rockford, Iowa, an aunt of the bride, and Miss Elvira Glesne of St. Olaf, aunt of the groom, presided at the reception table.
Immediately after the reception Mr. and Mrs. Glesne left for northern Minnesota. Following the wedding trip the bridal couple will return to Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls, where they will receive their B.A. degrees at the end of the summer session.
Those who attended the wedding from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Theo. de Buhr and Teddy, Rockford, Iowa; and the Rev. O. Glesne, Northfield, Minn.
