On Tuesday, June 7, at Zion Lutheran church in Clayton Center, Miss Iona Beck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Beck of Littleport, was united in marriage to Ralph Doeppke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Doeppke of Elkader. The Rev. J. H. Zerhusen performed the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. Harry Hoth, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor, and Mrs. Realto Beck, Arlene Ahrens and Marcella Clinton were bridesmaids. Robert Beck, brother of the bride was best man, and Ivan Doeppke and John Beck were groomsmen. Paul Doeppke and Realto Beck served as ushers.
A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride to members of the families and wedding guests. Out of town guests present were: John Beck and Marcella Clinton of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Azella Smith of Waterloo.
A shower dance was held at Communia in the evening
