Houg - Meyer marriage 1894

Last Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents in Marion township, Clayton county, occurred the marriage of Mr. Olof Houg and Miss Percilla Meyer by Rev. Hack. Quite a number of friends and relatives were present and witnessed the ceremony. Many beautiful and useful presents were tendered the happy couple. Mr. Houg is well and favorably known in and about Elgin as one of our best young farmers and business men. Mrs. Houg was among the sweetest and most accomplished young ladies in this section who held the love and esteem of all who knew her. The Echo joins with their many friends in extending congratulations and predicting a happy and prosperous future for them. (Mentioned as attending: Mr. and Mrs. C.
