"It was found in a Smith family photo album. My great-grandmother 'Linna' or Linna Christina was a Walters / Walthers before she married L.D. Smith. She was Mary's sister. The photo is labeled on the back "John and Aunt Mary" and despite the fact no last names are mentioned, we are quite certain this is the Falbs. The photo was next to one labeled "Aunt Anna and first husband" and the "Anna" in that photo is definitely Anna Walters/Walthers. Both photos were taken by D.H. Hale of Elkader, share the same Hale logo, the same pinked border, and are nearly identical in sepia tone."
