Winter - Miene marriage 1923

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miene in Grand Meadow township on Wednesday, January 31st, at five o'clock p.m., occurred the marriage of their daughter, Lucy C., to Mr. Walter Winter of near Eldorado, the Rev. E. Schmidt of this city performing the ceremony in the presence of the immediate families of the contracting parties. George Winter, a brother of the groom, officiated as best man to the groom, while Florence Miene, a sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid. Following the ceremony an elaborate wedding supper was served. The young couple will reside on the farm of the groom near Eldorado, where a host of friends will wish them every blessing.- Postville Herald, Thur., 1 Feb. 1923.
