"Married- At the residence of the bride's parents on Ash Avenue, Jan. 7th, 1880, by Rev. C. C. Cragen, George W. Goetz of Elkader and Miss El'a Diamond. George is a steady, industrious young man, agent for Stauer & Daubenberger at Elkader. Ella is a kindly thought of young lady, who has a host of warm friends and may the anticipation of the wedded life be fully realized."- McGregor Times "41 Years Ago" column, and re-printed in the Postville Herald of Thur., 27 Jan. 1921.
