Almost positive that Charlotte SIMONS Whitman (Mrs. Scott Winfiled Whitman) was my orphaned grandmother's 1st cousin. The Whitmans moved to Mason City, Cerro Gordo, IOWA ca. 1870's.
Trying to contact presumably living Joyce Cummings, a descendant of Charlotte. Joyce C. has SIMONS information.
Charlotte's parents, Catherine Ann & George Simons, took in my orphaned 4 yr. old grandmother.
What was Catherine Ann Simons' name BEFORE she married George Simons. Did Catherine Ann have a 1st husband, surname Martin?
