My ancestor wrote in his diary that his party crossed the Nishnabotna River. "it is 5 rods wide, has a swift current and stony bottom, a rolling prairie was on the head waters of Nishnabotna. After they ferried their wagons across they came to Indian town. Since this happend after crossing the river I am assuming he means the Indiantown in Cass Co. He makes no distinction as to which tributary of the river he crossed in about a 1/2 mi they cross a small stream (after Indian town)passed high land part timber part prairie to another creek high banks and about 1 mile deep which was bridged, another small creek 7 miles later which was brided after 9 miles they come upon a grove of timber called Mt. Scott. Can anyone tell me what these locations are called presently? Thanks
