Hi again, I found some more clues from the 1920 & 1930 census.
In 1920 the 18 year old Carl Y. is listed as Soldier in the U.S. Army. His oldest sister is actually named Erma (not Enna). Sister Laura has a second name, Ruth. They now have a new little sister Evaline Olga, born around 1913. Carl J. is employed by the Steam Railroad company.
In 1930 the 2 oldest children have moved. Carl Y. to unknown place. Erma lives with her aunt Esther in Chicago. Carl J. is still employed by the Steam Railroad company, as car repairer.
My hope is still to find some live descendants, in Iowa or elsewhere!
