KIRKPATRICK, PENNELL, PENCE

I have found the Kirkpatricks on the 1856 census,I think Waterloo--they were John 32, Samantha 26, Melissa 6, Laban 4, Charlotte 1 and then they disappear--what happened to them? Samantha was a Pennell and related to the Pences.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A Daniel is listed but no age. I think it was page 790, 794, and 804.
