Seeking researchers on the following family. Nancy Baker was my 4G Aunt.
William Cannon born in Virginia ca. 1793, died Dec. 13, 1862 in Cass Co., Iowa. Married Feb 13, 1820 in Stokes Co., NC to Nancy Baker (ca 1792 NC, died Aug 20, 1884, Audubon Co., Iowa). She was daughter of Henry T. BAKER (1755-1838). In the fall of 1826, they moved from Stokes County, North Carolina to Monroe County, Indiana, living there until 1853 when they moved to Johnson County, Iowa. In the spring of 1856 they moved to Cass County, IA. They had the following children:
John Calvin Cannon ca 1821-aft 1884
Tamsy E. Cannon ca 1824-aft 1850
Elizabeth Cannon ca 1826-aft 1850
George W. Cannon July 1828-aft 1900
Nancy A. Cannon ca 1838-?
John Calvin Cannon appears in the 1860 census in Audubon County, Iowa, but I have had no success in tracing he or his children further.
George W. Cannon settled in Exira Township, Audubon County, Iowa and many of his descendants appear through the available 1860-1930 census records.
The daughters I have had no success in tracing further.
