James Mennealy's obituary states his wife's maiden name was Strawn and her first name was Katie. There may have been a mix-up in the obit, or they called her Katie. My g-g-grandfather's diary from the Civil War shows correspondence with Betsy S. Mennealy, which I believe was Elizabeth Strawn Mennealy.
I still do not know for sure where either brother (Thomas B. Mennealy was my g-g-grandfather) was born, and only have one mention of their fasther's name (William), so I am not sure where they lived in the mid 1850's - 1861, when Thomas joined the 5th Maine Battery from Columbia, NH. Thomas said he was born in Sherbrook, Quebec, Canada.
