Looking for Thomas Callan/Callen

CALLEN, CALLAN, LAUBENSTINE, LOWE

In the early 1900s there was a Thomas (Tommy) Callen or Callan, from New Jersey, living in Centerville who worked for a stove manufacturing company. He was a boyhood friend of my grandfather in the same New Jersey town. I'm guessing the time period would be between 1910 and 1920 that this man was in Centerville. A brother of my grandfather reported that he thought Tommy Callen died there but was brought back to New Jersey for burial.

My grandfather was born Laubenstine but later took the name Lowe. This Tommy Callen had reported seeing my grandfather there working as a short order cook in a restaurant and in 1915 my grandfather mailed a photo postcard from Centerville to a sister back east. A long complicated but fascinating story and this is one of the small pieces to the puzzle I'd like to know more about.

So if anyone has info about a Thomas Callen/Callan in Centerville during this period, I'd love to hear.

Thanks in advance.
