I do not a have a bio on the Rupes. I do have the marriage record for Reason Rupe and Malinda Jane Crow.

County of Adair, I David Hills a Justice of the Peace within and for the County and State aforesaid do certify on this 12th day of September A.D. 1865 at the house of Rand Crow in the County aforesaid I Joined in matrimony Wm Reason Rupe aged 31 years to Miss Malinda Jane Crow aged 22 years Both of the town of Centerville Appanoose County Iowa.

Witness my hand this 13th day of Sept. A.D. 1865.

Malinda Jane Crow was the daughter of John Crow and Rebecca A. Mershon. John Crow was possibly the first son of Russell Crow Sr. of Adair County, MO. Russell Crow Sr. was married four times. Russell Crow Sr. was the son of John Crow and Nancy Morris Willson of Jefferson/Hamblen County, TN.

Rebecca A. Mershon was the daughter of Henry T. Mershon and Mary Ann Manson. Mary Ann Manson was a sister to William S. Manson of Appanoose County, IA. William S. Manson was the son of William & Mary Manson.

There is another John Crow in Appanoose Co, IA. He is a son of John Crow and Nancy Morris Wilson. This John Crow married Betsey J. Manson, daughter of William S. Manson and Isabella Gibbs. The elder William Crow of Appanoose County, IA is also a son of John Crow and Nancy Morris Wilson. William Crow married Malinda Riggs. Malinda Riggs is the daughter of Jesse Ninion Riggs and Elizabeth Boatman.

Polly Ann Manson, daughter of William S. Manson and Isabella Gibbs married James McKeehan in Lee County, IA in 1845. They had one son, David Senter McKeehan. William S. Manson adopted David Senter McKeehan after Polly Ann died. James McKeehan latter married Jane Crow Simpson in Appanoose Co, IA. I suspect Jane Crow Simpson was also a daughter of Russell Crow Sr. of Adair County, MO as she and James McKeehan are both buried there. Jane Crow had 2 children with unknown Simpson and they lived with her and James McKeehan. David Senter McKeehan also eventually moved to Adair Co, MO.

Reason & Malinda Jane Crow can be found on the 1870 Holt Co, MO census. In 1880 they are back in Appanoose County, IA and Malinda's grandmother, Mary Ann Mershon is living with them.
Mary Ann Mershon is living with John and Rebecca Crow on the 1850 & 1860 Appanoose Co, IA censuses. Mary Ann Mershon is living next to William S. Manson in the 1840 Jefferson Co, TN census.
