Asa Llewellyn bn. 9 march 1830, place Monogalia, VA. D.6 July 1903 Buried Randalia, IA

A woman by the name of Betty Bandy ? wrote my father and asked if she could come by and see him and talk about the Llewellyns and Shuffs..She came to IA in 1996 and to Waukon and talked to my father and he told her what he knew of this family, Asa and Elizabeth would be his great Aunt and Uncle.

They were married at Springhill, near Duncan's Iron Works, Fayette County PA.( which is south of Pittsburg and over the state line from Monongalia County, VA. ) They came to Rossville, IA with her family in 1853. Four years later they moved to Missouri by ox team and covered wagon and returned two years later, In 1860 they moved to Monona, IA. In 1865 tHew moved to Fayette County, IA. and farmed two miles southwest of Randalia, IA.
They became Methodists 1858 . Burial at Dunham's Grove Cemetery near Randalia. They were parents of 12 children, 7 girls and 5 boys. Surviving Elizabeth in 1918 were 8 children , 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Brooks.
