Pearl: Your Asa and Elizabeth migrated from West Virginia....first to Allamakee Co, then Clayton Co, and finally to Fayette County ....Asa's family dates back to colonial days when WV was still VA. Asa is the son of Jesse LEWELLEN (as it is spelled in Monongalia Co, VA/WV.) Asa's mother was Ann/Nancy Ryan, of Irish descent. You can locate Asa's parents in Monongalia Co, VA/WV census data from 1850 through 1870 (Jesse died in 1871.) Asa was my Grandmother Kate's uncle. Pat Pulasky
