I can not find anything on John and Elizabeth Brophy.
With regard to Michael and Katherine Rellihan;
I went to FindaGrave.com and see they have photos of their graves. Also noted that Mayme Rellihan 1884 - 1954 is buried there and there is a photo of her stone also. The stones for all three are apparently of the same type stone and look like they are of fairly recent placement.
I also went to FamilySearch.org , and did a search for info on Michael Rellihan, I was overwhelmed with info. A sampling;
IA Marr. 1809 - 1992
6-28-1910 Thomas Rellihan to Florence Hunter at Perry, Dallas Co., IA., his parents listed as Michael Rellihan and Katherine Braph. Thomas born abt 1886, Lansing, Ia.
10-8-1901 Frank J. Rellihan to Alice Martell at Dubuque, Dubuque Co., IA., his parents listed as Michael Rellihan and Catheryn Brophy, Frank born abt. 1882, Lansing, Ia.
1-17-1903 John J. Rellihan to Minnie Lape, (forgot to write down where), his parents listed as Michael Rellihan and Catherine Brophy, John born abt. 1879, in Lansing, Ia.
IA. Births/christenings;
James Francis Relihan, parents Michael Rellihan and Katie Brophy Rellihan, no date given.
Fed Census 1900, of ED 8, Lansing Twp., Lansing City, Ia., ward 1-4 ;
Michael and Catherine Rollahan, his birth given as Sep. 1848 in Ire., his parents both born Ire., his year of Imm. 1865, they had been married 22 yrs. (abt. 1878).
These are just a few of the plethora of returns I got in looking for Michael's info. You click on a return and it opens up and reveals a mention of the spouse, birth date/place, etc. Check the many misspelled returns also, OOPS ! a mention of the spouse or Lansing.
You have to remember these are all transcritions from very old, smeared, faded records. Keep in mind the following facts;
1. The original record taker/recorder spelled everything according to what it sounded like to them and however they then spelled it. No one, including those giving the info to them, checked what the info taker/recorder wrote.
2. The original record taker/recorder usually wrote the older records in a flourished script rather than printing or typing them, thus making the records harder for modern transcribers to determine lettering, especially in cramped spaces.
3. As I said, these transcriptions are from old, torn, smeared, faded, you name it, records. As such, in searching for info you must try every possible spelling variation you can possibly think of.
You will just have to go to FamilySearch.org and try to sort it all out. Their returns usually include spelling variations if you don't choose exact. I recommend not choosing exact as you will miss pertinent returns. It's a pain to look thru them all but you may well be rewarded. I didn't pay anything to search their site.
