| ***Per the obituary for Viola (the mother) there is 4 daughters that preceded her in death before June 1950. In the family group photograph taken in front of the house, there appears to be seven daughters, not six. The baby is assumed to be the son, Robert born in 1893. Unsure of the correct name of the missing daughter. Any help is much appreciated. |

LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel Mrs. Alice Chapman of Sioux City and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grier of Anthon, Iowa, have returned to their home after being called to LeMars because of the serious illness of Mrs. Viola Greier. Mrs. Grier is suffering from a broken hip. |
LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel Mrs. Viola Greier observed her 93rd birthday at the Sacred Heart Hospital Tuesday. A taper lighted birthday cake was a special feature. During the afternoon neighbors and friends called to congratulate her. She received many lovely cards and flowers. Out of town guests were Mrs. Grier’s son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grier of Anthon, and her granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Brooker from Cherokee. |
