Ella Coppher married Arthur T. Lister in Hamilton Co. Iowa on Aug 26, 1880

Anthony B. Cappher (spelled as Coppher) is in the 1900 census in Hamilton Co. Iowa, Williams Dist. page 205

Anthony B. Coppher, May 1831, age 69, Germany,(should be France) Germany, France
Carrie E., wife, Aug 1843, age 56, married 28 years, mother of 0 children

Next door is:

Arthur T. Lister, Jan. 1852, age 48, Scotland, Scotland, Scotland
Ella J., wife, Aug. 1856, age 44, IL, France, ??
William, son, July 1881, age 18, Iowa

Can't find Arthur T. Lister or Ella his wife in 1910 census but in 1920 census in Hamilton Co. Iowa, Ella Lister is shown as a widow, living alone. Can't find her son William Lister in any census after 1900..

Ella Lister is also shown as a widow in 1930 census in Black Hawk County, Iowa and living alone.

This is also in response to your query on the Marion Co. Iowa message board about James B. Capper. I think that the Capper and Cappher or Coppher families were not related that I can determine at this point...

Hope this gives you some additional info for further research on your Coppher (Cappher) family search.
