Mrs. F. C. Rasmussen died at her home here on Sunday afternoon following an illness of several weeks. She suffered a heart attack several weeks ago and has been bedfast since that time. On Sunday another heart attack was the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held at the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral home at Eagle Grove Friday afternoon at 1:30. The Rev. Lester Williams of the Baptist church will conduct the service and burial will be in the Glenwood cemetery.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. Ed Gosnell of Sedalia, Mo.; Miss Jeannette Rasmussen of Minneapolis, Minn.; Peter Rasmussen of Clarion; Pvt. Harry Rasmussen of New London, Conn.; and Andrew Rasmussen and Jenny Rasmussen at home.

Obituary

Contina Hansen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 6, 1871, and passed away at her home in Goldfield, Iowa on March 12, 1944, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 6 days.

She grew to young womanhood in Denmark and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church before coming to America.

She settled in the vicinity of Goldfield and has resided in that community for the last 50 years.

In 1893 she was married to Frederick C. Rasmussen and to this union were born, Anna, Peter, Andrew, Lillie, Jeanette, Jennie; and Harry. Anna and one son preceded her in death, the son died in infancy.

She was a kind, loving wife and mother and leaves to mourn her passing, six children, Mrs. Lillie Gosnell, Sedalia, Mo.; Peter, Clarion; Jeannette, Minneapolis, Minn.; Pvt. Harry, New London, Conn.; Andrew and Jennie at home. Also, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, at Los Angeles, Calif., besides many other relatives and a host of friends. Her only sister, Mrs. Robert Nelson, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17th, at the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home in Eagle Grove, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. J. Lester Williams of Goldfield officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield.
