Christina Christiansen was born in Langeland, Denmark, November 10th, 1859 and grew to womanhood there. She was baptized in infancy and at the age of 14 years was confirmed and united with the Lutheran church, remaining in the faith till the last.

On April 1st, 1881 she was united in marriage to Morten N. Larsen. To this union were born twelve children, one daughter having preceeded the mother in death in infancy. The others, August, George, John, Harry, Edward, Mrs. Lizzie Anderson, Leslie, William, Howard J., Guy and Violet, all of whom were at her bedside when she was summoned from her earthly home.

In the spring of 1884, the family immigrated to America having lived in and near Goldfield since that time.

Mrs. Larson was a devoted wife, loving mother and a kind friend and neighbor.

She died January 25th, 1923, after an illness of two months, aged sixty three years, two months and fifteen days. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, nine sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren besides other relatives and a host of friends.
