Dows - Glen W. Bryan, 89, of Dows, died Tuesday (December 13, 1988) at the Clarion Community Hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Dows. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Dows. Elledge Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bryan was born September 7, 1899 in Williams to George and Henrietta (Sheldon) Bryan. He was raised and educated in Williams. He married Dorothy Hoffman. She died June 14, 1930. He married Marie Leach on May 27, 1936 in Mason City. He farmed all his life on farms near Williams and Dows, retiring in 1964. He remained on the farm until 1985, when he entered the Dows Care Center following a stroke.

He is survived by his wife Marie; a daughter, VaDonna Pell of Brazil, Indiana and a son, Harold of Garner; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, four brothers and four sisters.
