Leonard Clark “Larry” Bixler
5 December 1911 ---- 26 June 1970

Leonard C. (Larry) Bixler, died Thursday morning at the Medical Center Hospital in El Monte, California. He became ill and was taken to the hospital where he died of a coronary thrombosis. At the time of his death, he was employed by Charles Cline Trucking Company, Inc. of Cushing, Oklahoma.

He was born December 5, 1911 at Morley, Iowa and lived in that area for many years. He attended Lenox College at Lenox. While in Dows he was manager of Murphy Transportation Company.

On July 19, 1964 he was married to Mrs. Eleanor Miller at Mason City and she survives. Also surviving are two sons by a former marriage, Gary and Scott Bixler. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lauren Dale in 1962.

Funeral services were held on Monday from the Willim Funeral Home. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery at Dows.
