Orville Boughton, 50, passed away suddenly late Saturday afternoon. He was in the Michael Billiard Parlor and started to leave. He must have felt faint as he turned and sat down in a booth, collapsed, and died almost instantly.

Funeral services were held at the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. T. J. Severtson in charge. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Boughton is survived by his wife, one daughter, Patricia, one brother, Hobart, of Tulsa, Okla., and one sister, Mrs. Charles Kastler of this city.

Obituary

Orville Manuel Boughton, son of Ed and Ida (Wallin) Boughton, was born Sept. 5, 1894, near Woolstock, in Wright county, Iowa, and passed away suddenly, Saturday afternoon, at 5:00 o'clock, June 26, 1943. He attended public school in Woolstock, and later a commercial course at Tobin College at Fort Dodge, until in March 1910, when with his parents he moved to a farm near Forest City. Iowa, where he attended high school and also attended Waldorf College, where he continued the commercial course, he had started at Tobin College.

In March 1912, he moved to Eagle Grove with his parents, where later he worked as a clerk in a grocery store, then in a furniture store, and at one time was a brakeman on the C. & N. W. Railway. He was inducted into the army, June 26, 1918, and served in the first World War overseas in France as a private first class in the 351st Machine Gun Company, 88th Division. He returned from overseas and was honorably discharged at Camp Dodge, Iowa, June 7, 1919.

He was married June 10, 1919, at Clarion, Iowa, to Miss Charlotte Biondahl of this community. One child, Patricia Arlene, was born to this union. His wife, Charlotte Boughton, passed away in Eagle Grove, October 10, 1938. On August 14, 1942, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Emma Johnson of this city.

For several years Mr. Boughton has been associated with various oil companies and has lived in Fort Dodge, Cresco, and Eagle Grove, Iowa. The past few years he has been owner and operator of a bulk oil station in Eagle Grove.

Mr. Boughton was a member of the First Congregational Church of Eagle Grove, and also a member of the American Legion, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Rebekah's of this city, and of the Elks of Webster City, Iowa.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Mrs. Emma Boughton, and his daughter, Patricia, and a sister, Mrs. Chas. Kastler, all of this city, one brother, Hobert W. Boughton, of Tulsa, Okla., one stepdaughter, Mrs. Myrle Taylor, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a stepson, Arnold Johnson, in the armed forces in North Africa, and many other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Kubitschek and Kastler Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Severtson.

Boughton and son, Edward, of Tucson, Arizona; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Boughton of Camp Chaffee, Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Mrs. Ruby Miller of Wyoming, Iowa; Mrs. Vesta Madson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bellfield and daughter, Margaret, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mrs. Bess Froning and Miss Betty Froning of La Porte City, Iowa; Mrs. Millard Hirt and son, Jerry, of Des Moines, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Rea Wallin of Glenville, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Novie Wallin and daughter, Lucille, Mrs. Ellen Hansen, Robert Woodard, Mrs. Velda Freeman, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Woodard, all of Albert Lea, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Hill, Williams, Iowa; Mrs. Betty Nielsen, Fort Dodge; Mrs. W. C. Fastenow, Mrs. Carl Ainslee, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bickford, Joseph Bickford, Helen Bickford, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bickford, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bickford, all of Webster City, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. R. F.
