Flora Amanda Teel Bruswitz
17 October 1867 --- 8 January 1943

Miss Flora Teel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Teel, was born October 17, 1866 at Iron Ridge, Dodge County, Wis.

At the age of six months the family moved to Loyal, Clark county, Wis., where she spent her girlhood. On Nov. 2, 1884 she was united in marriage to Herman F. Bruswitz of Spencer, Wis. To this union were born six children. Three sons preceded their mother in death. Those living are: Mrs. O. H. Joseph of Fond du Lac, Wis., Herman L. of New York, N. Y., and Carl of Eagle Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruswitz made their home at Stevens Point, Wis. until the year 1910, when they came to Eagle Grove, where they had lived for thirty-two years up to the time of Mrs. Bruswitz's death.

On January 8 at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Bruswitz moved out of her earthly body, out of her family circle, away from her neighbors and a host of friends and away from the cares and sorrows that are common to man. She was seventy-six years, two months, and twenty-one days old at the time of her death.

Mrs. Bruswitz came to know the word as her personal Saviour, whom she loved, throughout her Christian life. She was a friend and mother to all, a friend in particular ministers of the gospel. The last several years of her life she found and enjoyed happy fellowship with friends and workers of the Baptist church with which she united by baptism. She was a helper to all who loved the Lord and loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held at the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral Home January 8 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Albert Rust of Corwith officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Those from out of town who were present at the funeral were: her son, Herman, of New York; Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Joseph of Fond du Lac, Wis.; Julius Bruswitz, Mrs. Chris Schaub and son, and Mrs. Fred Kurtz and son from Grafton, Iowa; Pastor Lloyd Holm, Mrs. John Spitler, Mrs. Robert Banning, and Mrs. Knutson of Belmond; Pastor Bernard Rust of Britt; and Mrs. Earl Wilhite, Mrs. John Sharpnack, Mrs. Harvey Punke, Mrs. Frieda Swenson, Mrs. Harry Brown, Mrs. J. A. Zwiefel, Mrs. Albert Rust, and Miss Ruth Rust of Corwith.
