Frank Osmun Peach
24 March 1884 ---- 27 July 1925

Engineer Frank O. Peach was buried Friday afternoon. The account of his death was carried in last week's Eagle, which was correct. Mr. and Mrs. Peach were enroute to Auburn to visit one of Mrs. Peach's sisters. They had been visiting another sister in Glidden. They met a Ford car coming down a long hill and the two cars crashed together. Mr. Peach was instantly killed, his skull being fractured. Mrs. Peach received minor cuts and bruises. The driver of the Ford was not seriously injured. No blame is attached to either party.

The following obituary was read at the funeral service, which was held from the home on North Lincoln avenue Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Obituary

Frank Osmun Peach was born March 24, 1883 in Summit county, Ohio. He came with his parents to Eagle Grove when he was but three weeks of age. He lived in and around Eagle Grove till the time of his marriage to Grace M. Wilcox on Feb. 8, 1905. Two children were born to them, both of whom are deceased. Mrs. Peach died Sept. 17, 1923. Mr. Peach married again on May 12, 1925, to Clara Simmons of Glidden, Iowa.

Mr. Peach was accidentally killed in an auto collision on the evening of July 28, 1925. At the time of his death he was 42 years, 4 months and 4 days old. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, his father, one brother and three sisters.

Mr. Peach started to work for the C. & N. W. R. R. when he was but a mere boy. His first job was in the round house. He later became a fireman and for the past twenty years he has been an engineer.

He was a member of the B. of L. E. and the Odd Fellows.

Funeral services were conducted from the home on North Lincoln avenue. The services were in charge of W. G. Muhleman, pastor of the M. E. church, and the sermon was preached by Rev. O. W. Morris, pastor of the M. E. church of Glidden. Interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
