Lars Larson Sanstoe
12 June 1872 --- 13 November 1941

Lars Sanstoe, 69, died at his home on North Lincoln Ave. last Thursday night, Nov. 13. Funeral services were held at the home and at the West Side Lutheran church Monday with the Rev. H. S. Fauske in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Lars L. Sanstoe was born on June 12th, 1872, to parents Lars and Madeley Sanstoe at Hardanger, Norway. He was baptized in infancy, attended public schools at Hardanger and was confirmed at the age of 15 at Ullensvang Lutheran church, Hardanger.

He migrated to Radcliffe, Iowa in 1890 where he resided for 35 years, but moved to Eagle Gove in 1925, and died at his home after a few months illness, Nov. 13, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 1 day. He was for many years employed by the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad company.

On August 19, 1919 he was married at Radcliffe to Anna Feeden.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Sanstoe, by three brothers, Ole Sanstoe of Elmore, Minn., Mathias Sanstoe of Gladbrook, Ia., Nels Sanstoe of Lamoni, Ia., and by two sisters, Mrs. Amely Skare, Radcliffe, and Mrs. Martha Roenstrand, Hardanger, Norway. He was preceded in death by one brother, Torkel Sanstoe.

Mr. Sanstoe was a faithful husband, a peaceful and helpful neighbor.
