Eunice Evelyn Jury Barz
15 November 1898 --- 20 March 1974

Mrs. Eunice Barz, 75, of Dows, died on Wednesday at the Younker's Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines, where she had been a patient since March 11, 1974. Funeral services were held on Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Dows. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She was born November 15, 1898 at Adrian, Missouri and was the daughter of John H. and Daisy E. Brown Jury. She spent the early years of her life in Missouri and Oklahoma and came to the Dows area in 1916. She was married to Albert J. Barz on February 16, 1929 at Dows and they farmed in the Dows area. He died in 1960.

One daughter, Mrs. Bud (Joyce) Bates of Dows survives. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Schager of Alden and Mrs. Edna Bankes of Manley and one brother, John Jury in Arkansas state. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and three brothers.

Mrs. Barz was a member of the Methodist Church.
