Rev. Robert A. Brough
9 January 1873 --- 13 April 1968

Dows - Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church here for the Rev. Robert A. Brough, 90, minister here from 1924 to 1941. He died Saturday at Oak Park, Illinois where he had lived with his son, Wallace.

Born January 9, 1873 at Bridgeport, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Jon and Mary Allardyce Brough. He graduated from Gulph Collegiate Institute, Toronto University and the University of Cincinnati. He studied at Lane Theological Seminary and was ordained October 5, 1900 at Woonsocket, South Dakota. He was married to Sarah Metcalfe September 11, 1901.

After retiring from the ministry, Mr. and Mrs. Brough continued to live in Dows. She died in 1948. He had been a Master Mason for more than 50 years.

Surviving are two sons, Wallace of Oak Park and Kenneth of Palo Alto, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
