Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the United Methodist Church for Leonard [Lenard] Cameron, 72, a retired Osage farmer, who died suddenly Monday, Oct. 17 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Rev. James S. Pittman will officiate at the service and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Leonard [Lenard] was born May 25,1911 the son of Edwin and Jessie (Campbell) Cameron.

Gertrude Jergensen and Leonard [Lenard] Cameron were united in marriage April 11, 1931 at Emmetsburg. They moved to Osage from rural Clarion in 1944 and retired from farming in 1978.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Neil Keith, his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, two daughters, Mrs. Carlin (Beverly) Counsell, Cresco and Mrs. Cheryl Norby of Iowa City, two sons, Lynn, Mountain Grove, Mo.; and Gary, Norfolk, Va.; 14 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Alan, Spanish Forks, Utah, Ben, Spipard, Alaska; Russell, Renwick, and Robert, Ames.
