OSAGE – Gertrude Cameron, 80, of Osage, died Thursday, May 28, at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, of natural causes; survivors include two daughters, Beverly Counsell of Cresco and Cheryl Wahlen of Dubuque; two sons Lynn of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Gary of Lawrenceville, Va., 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Coltvet of Eagle Grove, Betty Anderson of Goldfield, Virginia Myers of Rockwell and Phyllis Erdal of Fairfax, Minn.; two brothers, Dean Jergensen of Bricelyn, Minn, and Harley Jergensen of Monument, Colo.; she was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a grandchild; services were 1:30 p.m. today at United Methodist Church, Osage; burial in Osage Cemetery; Champion Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 1992 at the United Methodist Church for Gertrude Cameron, 80, of Osage. Reverend James S. Pittman will officiate and burial was in Osage Cemetery. She died Thursday, May 28, 1992 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Gertrude was born December 15, 1911 at Goldfield, Iowa to Albert and Jennie (Larson) Jergensen. She attended Goldfield schools and graduated from Goldfield High School. On April 11, 1931 at Emmetsburg, Iowa, Gertrude Jergensen and Leonard [Lenard] Cameron united in marriage. Gertrude and Leonard [Lenard] farmed in the Goldfield, Holmes, and Clarion area for a number of years. They moved to the Osage area in 1944 and farmed until retirement in 1978.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one son; and one grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Counsell of Cresco and Cheryl Whalen of Dubuque; two sons, Lynn Cameron of Mountain Grove, MO; and Gary Cameron of Lawrenceville, VA; four sisters, Helen Coltvet of Eagle Grove, Betty Anderson of Goldfield, Virginia Myers of Rockwell, and Phyllis Erdal of Fairfax, MN; two brothers, Dean Jergensen of Bricelyn, MN and Harley Jergensen of Monument, CO; and 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
