Obituary
(Rev. T. J. Severtson)

Evelyn Christine Byro was born October 5, 1934, to the parents, Orin and Gladys Byro, at Goldfield, and died at Iowa City, Iowa, January 20th, 1938, aged 1 year, 3 months, and 15 days.

She was united with Christ by Holy Baptism on the 6th day of October 1934 and thus became an heir to his eternal kingdom. She had a physical ailment from birth, and it was to seek relief from this that she was taken to Iowa City.

She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Dorcas and Miriam, and two brothers, Paul and Kenneth.

Not a long time by years was allotted to little Evelyn here on earth, but she had a very important mission to fill. This she has now finished and gone to her reward. Now she draws minds and hearts away from earthly things and to things heavenly. The Saviour had his will with her, viz., “Father, I will that they also, which thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world”. John 17:24. Surely this, she now has attained to.

Funeral services Thursday, January 23rd, from the Kubitschek and Kastler Funeral Home and from the Eagle Grove Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
