Gertrude May Hubbard Olson
17 December 1891 ---- 17 September 1936

Mrs. Frank Olson died at her home in Renwick Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Olson is a former resident of Eagle Grove. Mr. Olson was employed at the Middleton Music Store.

Gertrude Hubbard, daughter of Elisa and Isabelle Hubbard was born at Rock Falls, Ill., Dec. 17, 1891 and died at her home near Renwick, Ia. Sept. 17, 1936 at the age of 44 years and 9 months. She came with her parents to Kossuth county, Iowa, where they settled on a farm in Grant township. Here she completed her education and grew to womanhood.

She was united in marriage with Frank Olson, Dec. 28, 1909. To them were born two children both of whom survive her. They lived in various communities which includes Elmore, Minn., Eagle Grove, and Renwick. The latter has been her home since last spring.

She has been in failing health for several years but has been able to be about the house and do her work until about a week ago, when she was confined to her bed and gradually grew worse. She was a patient sufferer and always kind. Her kind and thoughtful ways has won for her many friends.

She was baptized and united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1915. She was a faithful worker until failing health compelled her to give np her work.
