Arva D. Farmer, 5480 Vermont street SW, died Saturday evening following a brief illness. She was a lifetime resident of Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Farmer was born Sept. 13, 1898, at Goldfield and was married to M. W. Farmer April 13, 1918 [1917], in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Asbury Methodist church.

Surviving are two sons, Richard J. of Santa Anna, Calif., and William M. of Marion, three daughters, Mrs. Doris M. Bernacki, and Patricia Wilson, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Martha Herren of Springville, 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in the Turner chapel east at noon Tuesday by the Rev. Charles R. Mehaffey of Asbury Methodist church. Friends may call at Turner chapel east after 11 a.m. today. Burial at Cedar Memorial cemetery.
