Mabyl Larson Sellers
4 May 1901 ---- 14 September 1936

Mabyl Blanche Larson Sellers, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Larson of this city, was born May 4, 1901 at Webster City, Iowa, and died in a Marshalltown hospital, Sept. 14, 1936, at the age of 35 years, 4 months, and 10 days. She grew to womanhood at the home of her parents in the Head Grove neighborhood east of Eagle Grove. She attended Eagle Grove high school, State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, and Morningside College, Sioux City. After completing her education, she was a successful teacher in the Wright county schools for several years.

In October 1923, she was united in marriage with V. E. Sellers of Galt. To this union one daughter was born, Jeanne LaVonne, age 12. Mrs. Sellers was baptized in the Methodist Episcopal church of Eagle Grove and was a faithful worker in the church. She was a kind and loving mother and wife, and leaves her family stricken with grief at her sudden going.

She is survived by her husband, V. E. Sellers, her daughter, Jeanne LaVonne, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Larson of Eagle Grove, two brothers, Martin and Arthur Larson of Eagle Grove, and four sisters, Mrs. Ellen Amondson, Mrs. Elsie Christopher, Irene and Doris all of Eagle Grove, and numerous other relatives.

Mrs. Sellers was a member of the Rebekah and Eastern Star lodges of Burt, where the family resided at one time. They have also lived at Eldora and Osage and moved to Marshalltown several months ago.
