FATALITY TO OSSIAN BOY.
Len Torreson Accidentally Killed While Hunting Near Oelwein.
Les Torreson, a young man who makes his home near Ossian, was accidentally shot and killed last Saturday while out hunting near Oelwein. He had gone there to visit some friends and with several young men went out for a day’s hunting. They started some game and the firing by all of them was simultaneous. Somehow, it is not known—young Torreson received a full charge of shot in the abdomen. His companions were horror stricken and he was hurried to Oelwein and given all the attention possible, but the intestines were so badly perforated that he died soon after. The remains were brought to Ossian where the funeral was held on Tuesday in the church south of the village.Source: Decorah Republican Dec. 4, 1913, 1913 P11 C4
