Nels Lysne Was Buried Monday

Funeral services were held Monday at First Lutheran church at Decorah for Nels Lysne, 84, retired farmer living at 708 River street, who died at his home Thursday morning, March 27, after a lingering illness.

Rev. T. A. Hoff officiated and burial was in the Decorah Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Ole, Oscar O., Melvin, Olaf, Oscar N. and Carleton Anderson. The Fjelstul funeral home was, in charge of arrangements.

Nels Lysne was born January 20, 1863, in Glenwood township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Lysne. He received his education in the rural schools of Winneshiek County.

He was married to Anna Anderson July 19, 1895 at the Glenwood Lutheran church. They were the parents of four children: Elmer, Alfred, and Nelius, all of Decorah; and Emma (Mrs. Archie Richards) of Glenwood township.

Mr. Lysne was a member of First Lutheran church at Decorah.

He is survived by his wife, children, and two grandchildren.
