Elmer O. Lysne Funeral Services Are (Today) Nov. 24

Funeral services for Elmer O. Lysne, 74, of 708 River Street are being held today, Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Mr. Lysne died November 21 at Winneshiek Memorial Hospital. He had lived his entire life in this area, farming and doing carpenter work. He had been employed at Farm Service Co.

Pastor George Ulvilden will conduct the services. Pallbearers are Robert Lysne, Ronald Lysne, Raymond Richard, Clarence Phillips, Carleton Anderson and Tollef Larson.

Mrs. William Kuhlmann will be organist. Mrs. George Rowland is the soloist.

Arrangements are being made by Steine Funeral Home.

Mr. Lysne was born February 19, 1896 in Winneshiek County. His parents were the late Nels and Anna Lysne. He was educated in the rural schools and served with the U.S. Army in WWI, stationed in France.

Mr. Lysne never married. He is survived by two brothers, Alfred Lysne and Nelius Lysne and a sister, Emma Richard, all of Decorah.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, the VFW and WWI Barracks.
