Mr. T. Inga, Mr. and Mrs. George Bakken, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Olson of Madison township, Alfred Olson and Severen Olson were called to Ossian last Thursday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Anna Olson.

Mrs. Anna Olsen, who has been staying with her daughter Mrs. O. C. Olson of Madison township nearly a year, passed away on March 5, 1912 at 8 p. m. Mrs. Olsen was born in Norway, in 1834, and came to America with her parents in 1848, settling at Jefferson, Wis., coming to Winneshiek county in 1850. She leaves to mourn the loss her three daughters, Mrs. J. L. Johnson of Crookston, Minn., Mrs. Theo. Enga of Ossian, Iowa, Mrs. O. C. Olsen of Madison township and six sons, Ole of Crookston, Minn., George of Decorah, Edward, Severion, Selmar, and Alfred of Ossian, Iowa. She has been a sufferer for the past eight months. A short prayer was held at the house Mar. 7 at O. C. Olsen’s of Madison township, Rev. Thomas. Nilsson officiating. Then the remains were taken by train to Ossian to the home of her daughter Mrs. Theo. Enga, where services were held, and then to the Hauge church, conducted by Rev. Anderson of Redwing, Minn.
