C. A. Funke of Decorah was here on Monday to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, Mr. Louis Frerich.

News was received here Saturday morning of the death of Louis Frerich, Sr., who had passed away at the hospital at Independence, where he had been confined for some time. The remains arrived Saturday evening via the Rock Island, and the funeral services were held on Monday at nine o’clock at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic church, Rev. Thiltgen officiating. He leaves a wife and one son, Louis, to mourn his loss. Those from out of town who were here to attend the funeral were Joe Frerich of Minneapolis and Mrs. F. A. Dessel of Grandview, Minn.
