The angel of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hove last Tuesday and at nine o’clock p. m. took from them their second eldest daughter Miss Ida, whose death was not unexpected. She had been seriously ill the past few months, with a tumor. Everything to restore her health was done by her parents and friends, besides the best physicians of Decorah. Dr. George Kessel of Decorah and Dr. Swebakken of Waukon were called to consult the case, but all the loving kindness and good care that could be bestowed upon her did not avail. Ida Hove was born in Glenwood township, August 4, 1902, living there a few years. She came to Clay Hill with her parents, where she passed away, at the age of 9 years, 5 months and 12 days. She was a kind, loving girl, who was loved by all who knew her, especially by her schoolmates. She is survived by her parents, one sister and two brothers. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the residence and 2 o’clock from the United Lutheran church, Rev. Schmidt officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community
