To all posters regarding Myrick Cemetery,

I just looked at what I sent a minute ago. I sincerely apologized for the way these names and dates and everything are being arranged. Strange! I typed all of those in this tiny box thinking it would look the way it would suppose to be when finally I posted it at the end of my comments!! Hopefully, all of you can successfully follow the names and dates, etc. If not, then let me know which names you need to know about specifically and I will send you the needed info.

Anyway,

This is only about my relatives who are proved to be buried there through other records such as funeral, obituary, and WPA records and who are suspected to be buried there.

Hiram Clark--Husband of Dorcas Hartley. A direct descendant of Elizabeth [Hartley] Clark and her husband William Clark

Dorcas Clark---Wife of Hiram Clark and eldest daughter of Philip and Susan [Cottrell] Hartley

Daughters of Hiram and Dorcas Clark are buried at Myrick Cemetery

Isaac Edgington--Likely the son of F. M. Edgington who was buried at Chillicothe Cemetery and husband of Cora Clark Edgington, daughter of Hiram and Dorcas Clark.

Cora Clark Edgington

Adam Clark---Son of Hiram and Dorcas Clark

William A. Hendricks---1st husband of Harriett [Obenbaugh) Hendricks and 2nd husband of Mrs. Margaret(Judson)Hendricks.

Florence Hartley---youngest child of Almond L. and Mary (Judson)Hartley and granddaughter of Philip & Susan [Cottrell] Hartley and of Daniel & Caroline [Medlem] Judson.

Ruth Ann Kirby---was 1st married to Nicholas Clark (another descendant of William and Elizabeth Hartley Clark) and 2nd married to Silas Franklin Kirby. Daughter of Daniel and Caroline [Medlem] Judson.

Maggie R. Judson---Daughter of James and Addie [Spencer] Judson. Granddaughter of Daniel and Caroline [Medlem] Judson.

Daniel Judson---Son of Gershom and Sarah [Redden] Judson. Husband of Caroline Medlem. Father of several children including Margaret Hendricks, Mary Hartley, James Judson, Wilford Judson, and Ruth Ann Kirby who are all proved or suspected to be buried there.

Caroline Judson---Daughter of John and (prob.) Mary [Sellers] Medlem. Wife of Daniel Judson and mother of 9 children.

Margaret Hendricks---was the widow of 2 husbands: John Price and William A. Hendricks. Daughter of Daniel and Caroline [Medlem] Judson.

Daniel Price---Elder son of John Price and Margaret (Judson) Price Hendricks.

John Price---1st husband of Margaret Judson Price Hendricks. Father of 3 children including Daniel Price who was buried at Myrick Cemetery alongside him.

Two infants of Wilford and Ibby [Snell] Judson who are also the grandchildren of Daniel and Caroline [Medlem] Judson.

Wilford Judson---who was probably buried at Myrick Cemetery although there was no stone for him. Youngest child of Daniel and Caroline Medlem Judson. Husband of Ibby Snell.

James Judson---his newspaper obituary pointed to Myrick Cemetery as his place of burial, although there was no stones for him and his wife. Son of Daniel and Caroline Medlem Judson and husband of Addie E. Spencer.

Almond L. Hartley---definitely buried at Myrick Cemetery via a proof fo his death certificate and obituary notice. He died in July 1932. According to census records, he was born in January 1841, but to funeral record and newspaper obituary, he was born on January 1st, 1833. Newspaper said he was 99 years of age when he died, but I think his daughter (who was the informant on his death certificate) mixed the birth year up with that of Hiram Clark (who was born on January 1st, 1833). I strongly believe Almond's year of birth was 1841, so his age at death was 91 years. Son of Philip and Susan [Cottrell] Hartley. Husband of Mary Judson. Only two of his children are buried at Myrick Cemetery---Florence Hartley and Ellen "Ella" Abercrombie. Ella's stone was not there but family witnesses at her funeral said she was buried at Myrick back around 1905. One of these witnesses was my own great-grandmother, Ethel Hartley Price (1900-1999), who remembered sitting on her grandfather Almond Hartley's shoulder at her Aunt Ella's funeral.

Ellen "Ella" Abercrombie, who died ca. 1905---Daughter of Almond and Mary Hartley. Granddaughter of Philip and Susan Cottrell Hartley & of Daniel and Caroline Medlem Judson. First wife of Isaac "Ike" Abercrombie.

Mary Hartley----who was indeed buried at the cemetery although no stone for her. Proof of this is her funeral record and newspaper obituary. Oldest daughter and 2nd child of Daniel and Caroline Medlem Judson. Wife of Almond L. Hartley.

Silas F. Kirby--who was probably buried at Myrick Cemetery. Was 2nd husband of Ruth Ann (Judson) Clark, daughter of Daniel and Caroline Medlem Judson.

Philip Hartley---Probably buried at Myrick Cemetery. Son of Philip and Ruth Ann (Flora) Hartley. Husband of Susan Cottrell.

Susan Hartley---Probably buried at Myrick Cemetery. Daughter of (??) Peter and Rachel (Carlisle) Cottrell. Wife of Philip Hartley.

End of this information.......

Roxie Stevens, dated 10 October 2004.

P.S.

Many of my relatives and ancestors are buried at Chillicothe Cemetery, which is located on the other side of Chillicothe.

My maternal great-grandparents are Cyrus Wilford Price (1881-1972; youngest child of John Price and Margaret Judson Price Hendricks) and Ethel June (Hartley) Price (1900-1999; 3rd of 9 children of James Elmer and Emma Rebecca [Abercrombie] Hartley. Actually, Cyrus was Ethel's 1st cousin once removed. Ethel's father was Cyrus' first cousin because James Elmer Hartley and Cyrus Wilford Price were the grandsons of Daniel and Caroline (Medlem) Judson maternally.
