At the risk of bursting a bubble that I started ---I checked all cemetery records in Competine township and there are several Wright persons buried there, but no Mahlon or Sarah. BTW the old Baptist Cemetery is now called Competine Cemetery.

Also, in the late 1880s and 1890s the Polk's Directories included rural areas. I checked those directories and it appears that Mahlon Wright and his family left Wapello county in about 1888. Neither he, his wife, nor his children are listed anywhere in Wapello county after 1888 that I can find.
