Betty Hunt

Betty Hunt, 67, of 711 E. Henry St., Mount Pleasant, died at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1990, at the Burlington Medical Center.

Born Nov. 7, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl W. and Hazel M. Daley McDaniel. She married Raymond P. Jefferson. She later married Donald E. Hunt June 19, 1960, in Burlington.

She worked for Beckman Cleaners and National Research Company in Burlington and had been a clerk at the Harrison's Dime Store in Mount Pleasant for 22 years. She had helped her husband at Hunt's Green House in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Burlington and the Westside Mothers Club of Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are her husband; her other of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Renee (Larry) Schimitz of Rush City, Minn., and Mrs. Doreen (Gary) Glover of Keosauqua; one step-daughter, Mrs. Connie (Steve) Hauskins of yedar(typo) Rapids; 13 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

The service for Mrs. Hunt will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Deborah Kiesey officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.

A memorial has been established for the Henry County Ambulance Service.
